Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing in-depth knowledge of investment solutions to internal partners including financial advisors. Key responsibilities include sourcing and analyzing investments, monitoring existing fund investments, writing detailed investment memos and commentaries and presenting findings to committees as an individual or team. Job expectations include strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information through a quantitative and qualitative lenses, and strong understanding of financial markets.
The senior private credit fund analyst should have experience leading investment due-diligence across drawdown, private BDC's and interval funds, all focused on the broad private credit asset class.
Responsibilities:
- Educates internal partners including financial advisors on investment solutions using in-depth knowledge
- Thinks strategically and can analyze investment options and relay to clients in understandable manner
- Utilizes strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Manages relationships with internal parties as well as external vendors
- Operates with the ability to detect, compare, and correct errors by checking the data for accuracy and consistency
- Works with more senior leaders and executives utilizing strong executive presence and ability to lead meetings
- Leads investment due-diligence or new funds
- Interacts with financial advisors and clients explaining merits and risk of the fund and private credit space
- Attends annual meetings and conducts on-site meetings
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ yrs private markets fund investment due-diligence experience with a preference for candidates who have focused specifically on private credit fund analysis.
- Proficiency with Excel, Pitchbook, Preqin and Cambridge data for modeling purposes.
- Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 & 65) required, or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
