Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading an organization to deliver technology products and services that meet strategic business outcomes. Key responsibilities include enabling the portfolio strategy by setting strategic technology outcomes, creating a resource and people development strategy, managing the financial and resource plan, advocating and advancing organizational agility, improving end-to-end processes, and promoting learning and improvement. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, and driving leadership succession planning and development of employees.

Developer Experience (DevEx) provides enterprise technical standards and common technical services, platforms, and tools that are leveraged by delivery teams across all BofA lines of business. We lead the solution design of those common services, platforms, and tools within our portfolio. With a strong sense of ownership for both personal deliverables and value stream goals, we perform role functions including:

  • Improve the experience for our developers, making it easier to deliver industry-leading solutions, while managing work efficiently and with the right controls
  • Advance our technology platforms through innovation
  • Reduce risk and improve quality across our technology portfolio by aligning to a single enterprise architecture strategy and delivering governance that enables consistency, integration and automation

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior AI Platform Technology Executive to lead the strategy, delivery, and governance of our enterprise‑wide AI and generative AI platforms and agents. As one of the world’s largest and most regulated financial institutions, we are rapidly scaling the use of AI across thousands of applications, employees, and business processes. This executive will be responsible for building and operating enterprise‑grade AI capabilities, establishing robust governance, and ensuring safe, compliant, and value‑driven adoption of AI across all lines of business.

This role requires a visionary leader in the areas AI platforms, multi‑model architectures, Copilot Studio governance, Power Platform scale, secure by design engineering, and executive stakeholder management. The ideal candidate brings both strategic and hands-on leadership experience, with proven success driving platform adoption at global scale while partnering closely with Technology, Risk, Security, Compliance, and Business Executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages relationships with business and technology executives/sponsors and vendors for technical products and understands the work deliverables and performance of the Technology Management team by following outcomes from business and client feedback
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers by sponsoring opportunities that improve processes, staying close to teams and their experiences, and identifying new opportunities to enhance efficiency and gain a competitive advantage
  • Conducts portfolio level resourcing and financial management activities, establishes target outcomes through objectives and key results, tracks strategic technology outcomes aligned to the portfolio strategy, and promotes the organization and its resources to achieve them
  • Facilitates performance and career development of teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
  • Establishes a culture of risk and compliance management, ensuring the organization is compliant with all applicable policies and standards
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with Portfolio strategy by working with Portfolio Product Executives and other value stream stakeholders
  • Manages procurement, vendor evaluations, and negotiating vendor contracts for technical products and services for the organization

Required Qualifications:

Executive Leadership & Enterprise Platforms

  • 15+ years in senior enterprise technology leadership, including accountability at the SVP/Managing Director level
  • Demonstrated ownership of shared enterprise platforms used across multiple lines of business
  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments with rigorous risk, audit, and SDLC controls
  • Strong executive communication skills across business, technology, and risk stakeholders

AI Platform & Copilot Studio Leadership

  • Direct leadership of enterprise AI platforms, including Generative AI, agent‑based architectures, and multi‑model/LLM‑agnostic strategies
  • Deep understanding of the AI SDLC, including pre‑production testing, approvals, and recertification
  • Proven experience designing AI platforms with reusable components, default guardrails, centralized observability, and full lifecycle management
  • Executive ownership of Microsoft Copilot Studio as an enterprise AI surface, with experience deploying governed, enterprise‑scale agents that inherit identity, enforce DLP/connector restrictions, and integrate with centralized inventories and analytics
  • Familiarity with Copilot Studio Kit, agent review/testing workflows, analytics, and production readiness/decommissioning processes

Power Platform Governance & Scale

  • Senior leadership experience across the Power Platform (Apps, Automate, Dataverse, BI)
  • Expertise implementing Managed Environments, Dev/Test/Prod strategies, and enterprise CoE governance models.
  • Proven ability to enable productivity while preventing uncontrolled citizen‑developer sprawl

Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Hands‑on collaboration with Information Security, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams
  • Strong foundation in identity‑first access models, connector/data source controls, and comprehensive audit logging/telemetry
  • Experience leading secure‑by‑design reviews and threat modeling for AI platforms
  • Familiarity with industry AI governance frameworks, risks, and ethics

Platform Operating Model, Adoption & Business Value

  • Ability to define enterprise AI intake processes, ownership models, and tiered risk patterns for AI agents.
  • Proven track record scaling platforms from pilot to production to full enterprise adoption.
  • Demonstrated success connecting AI platforms to measurable business outcomes: productivity gains, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience prioritizing use cases based on ROI and compliance, including decommissioning non‑viable efforts.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics & Information Systems, or a related technical field
