Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
LOB Summary:
This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. They are familiar with development and testing practices of the bank.
A strong developer is needed for Store AITs Base as an individual contributor for one to many teams:
- Creates frameworks, interfaces and complex components for team(s) to utilize and develop.
- Contributes to test strategy creation and automation of test suites for team(s)
- Drives test strategy adherence across team(s).
As a lead for one or more teams: Accountable for end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level.
- Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements.
- Leads the technical oversight for teams in solution development.
- Epic and Project Estimation, and ensure that risk and compliance findings are remediated.
- Coding practices/quality comply with software development standards.
- Help Base team transition to target state by adopting technologies like MongoDB, Camunda, Angular and Gen AI etc.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Required Qualifications:
- 5 year + Experience - Proficient in Linux, Tomcat, Oracle, IIS, Windows
- Good development skills in Java, J2EE, Kafka, Rest/SOAP services
- Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
- Remediation of AIT data – 200+ AITs with 450+ document folders
- Weekly RIMS Audit review and implementation
- RIMS Processing – Weekly and as needed, RIMS File review and metrics. If rejects, then a review of the AIT/record code is required
- Monthly Application Evaluation audit review and implementation
- Review monthly new/Initiative Imports completed
- Yearly LOB AIT audit review and implementation
- Trigger Record Code Council Meetings
- Quarterly review of catalog data
- Metrics review and movement to SharePoint site i.e., data catalog, usage, etc.
- AIT Legal Review for holds i.e., Litigation, CCAR, etc.
- AIT liaison between AIT and GRM
- AIT Review – decommission /delisted/ new
- Data Classification – FINRA, FCRA, PCI, HIPPA, DOJ, GDPR, SEC. Application, Legal, etc. generally requires the Archival system to be involved.
- GRM coordination of AIT/ record codes – works with GRM to ensure proper record codes align
- GRM Bi-annual global record retention changes/updates review and implementation
- Manage and review DCRS Mailbox - All RM requests, RCAs, concerns, questions, etc.

- Prior experience in GCA
- Agile Project Process Knowledge.
- A positive attitude, excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop, review and comment on written technical documentation

- Willingness to be accountable for meeting all deliverable dates for task assignments.
