Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

Position Summary:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of containerized Spring boot APIs on OpenShift platform.
  • Work with technical product owners, domain architects and developers to define, refine and deliver requirements.
  • Guide team in estimating, developing, testing and developing features/APIs through the software delivery cycle in Agile environment
  • Ensure defects get resolved during the course of Functional Testing, Regression Testing & Performance testing.
  • Resolve issue in functional, regression, and performance testing stages.
  • Provide oversight on CI/CD events, testing and release delivery coordination.
  • Actively manage and monitor Jira Kanban boards to ensure progress tracking and backlog
  • Serve as a point of contact for deployment coordination, operational readiness and support
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, knowledge transfer, ongoing support.
  • Participate, contribute and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes
  • This is a hands-on feature lead role responsible for delivering complex requirement by combining technical leadership, delivery coordination, and strong collaboration across Scrum teams in an Agile environment. The role blends middleware service development experience (preferably in Spring boot) with a working knowledge of DevOps and containerization practices. 

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ year experience in professional application development, delivery and project management
  • Experience delivering solutions in containerized environment
  • Strong understanding of integration and Web Service technologies (SOAP / REST)
  • Practical knowledge of Agile development and delivery framework
  • Proficient in managing Jira boards, user stories, epics and delivery tracking
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills both written and verbal and the ability to quickly form meaningful working partnerships.
  • Works well under pressure. Manage multiple priorities, be proactive, and deliver quality results under aggressive deadlines.
  • Self-starter, good aptitude, Problem Solver and someone who is open to learning new technologies and comes with strong analytical
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Bank of America application and development life-cycle.
  • Experience with Spring boot and delivering APIs / micro services using OpenShift Containers will be a big plus..
  • Exposure to Integration technologies like Web Methods. Kafka ,  Openshit containers
