Job Description:


This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.

Overview:

The Cashpro Data Services team is responsible is providing critical data solutions for the overall Cashpro Platform and its suite of applications. This role is responsible for hands-on testing for the ETL pipeline and data solutons.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as architects, developers, data analysts and data modelers to understand dependencies, review designs and align roadmaps.
  • Responsible to verify data mappings, sessions, and workflows to meet requirements 
  • Responsible for validation of job schedules that integrate with upstream and downstream systems (AutoSys jobs)
  • Responsible for coordination of offshore/onshore development to assist in build efforts, including meeting with the offshore team daily to discuss ongoing work
  • Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects.
  • Gather, refine and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies and potential risks or issues

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands on testing of backend systems and testing experience with any ETL tool, preferably Informatica
  • 10+ years of development experience in MongoDB. Oracle, SQL Server
  • 8+ years in Data Warehouse / Data Mart / Data Mining/ Business Intelligence
  • Must be proficient with both Linux shell scripting and SQL
  • Designing tables and assessing relationships of database systems, performance tuning, database design, & data models
  • Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance practices
  • Proven experience migrating on prem ETL/data flows into cloud ready architectures
  • Ability to lead POCs, benchmark new tools, and recommend technology adoption
  • Ability to present technical concepts to senior level business stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Impeccable Communication skills – verbal and written
  • Should be a self-motivated worker. Willingness to learn and adapt to changes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, team-player
  • Experience in working in a global technology development model
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a Computer Science or related field

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure and experience to No SQL Databases (Mongo, Elastic, Marklogic) etc.
  • Hands on programming experience with any modern ETL technologies including Apache spark, or building data pipelines
  • Expert level experience with MongoDB (schema design, aggregations, indexes, performance tuning, sharding)
  • Strong hands on experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS) or similar cloud ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Matillion, Talend)
  • Proficiency in building data pipelines using Python and advanced SQL for transformations and validations
  • Experience integrating MongoDB with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable if transferable)
