Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations. 
Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence and innovation. 
In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview

The Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide, encompassing Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Wholesale Credit. Supporting these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research. The Shared Technology Platforms portfolio, part of the GBAMT Strategy, Architecture, and Core Platforms group, is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance software systems used by Global Banking and Markets Technology teams globally. These platforms provide essential Technology-for-Technology tools that support diverse project management needs, including forecasting, hiring, and resource lifecycle management.

Job Description: -

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain high-performance software applications supporting Global Banking & Markets business units. You will work independently on complex projects, often across multiple phases, and provide technical guidance to junior team members. This role requires deep expertise in Java (or Python), Spring Boot, Angular, and strong knowledge of Capital Markets or Treasury business domains.

You will collaborate directly with users in a fast-paced agile environment, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions. You are expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving, and deep domain and product knowledge. Experience with microservice architecture, REST APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), inhouse cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing (TDD) is essential.

The ideal candidate is a driven, results-oriented professional with a degree in computer science or a related technical field. You will mentor and support junior developers, conduct code and design reviews, and ensure adherence to security best practices and coding standards. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to work in global, virtual teams are required.

Responsibilities

• Work on development, testing, and automation of applications in multiple technologies in Java /Angular/Python. Working experience of all 3 technologies is preferred but not mandatory.

• Provide weekend on call support during application releases.

Requirements

Education- B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/BSC/MSC/BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization).

Certifications if any- Java/OpenShift

Experience Range- 6 to 9 years

Foundational skills:-

• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and full stack development.

• Strong experience with microservice architecture, REST APIs, and design patterns.

• Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and inhouse cloud platforms.

• Advanced front-end skills (Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3).

• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and version control (Git).

• Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.

• Proven leadership or mentoring experience.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

• Security best practices and automated testing (TDD, frameworks).

• Working knowledge of coding assistant tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and prompt engineering.

• Proven experience in leading technical teams or mentoring junior developers.

• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting complex production issues.

• Ability to work in global, virtual teams and under pressure.Primary Technical Skills
