The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team are plugged into both the short-term dynamics of the market and the long-term strategic vision of investment banking. Our work involves daily interaction with both bankers and public-side sales and trading colleagues, as well as a high level of contact with our clients. Providing market-leading insights to issuers as well as strategic advice on opportunities and solutions. We work under pressure, with tight deadlines which results in a dynamic and stimulating working environment.
The BofA Australia Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team serves as a leading capital markets partner to a broad range of issuers, including corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign, supranational and agency (SSA) clients. The team provides comprehensive coverage across global funding markets, delivering strategic advice, structuring expertise and seamless execution across the full suite of bond products.
BofA holds the #1 DCM franchise for G3 currency bonds among Australian and New Zealand issuers, underpinned by deep global distribution strength, extensive investor connectivity and a long‑standing track record of arranging landmark transactions across market cycles.
Building on this global leadership, the team is placing increased focus on the Australian dollar (AUD) market, with a particular emphasis on high‑grade issuance, SSAs, and credit‑linked transactions. This effort is supported by BofA’s market‑leading FICC Sales & Trading platform, comprising dedicated rates and credit specialists in Sydney, ensuring clients benefit from real‑time market insights, superior pricing outcomes and execution excellence.
Aligned with the bank’s broader growth agenda, the Australia DCM team is executing a renewed strategy to expand its presence in the traditional Kangaroo SSA segment, deepening engagement with global supranational and agency borrowers seeking efficient access to the AUD market.
As market activity grows and issuer needs become increasingly sophisticated, the team is also enhancing its syndicate execution capacity to support higher transaction volumes, faster execution windows, and more complex multi‑currency funding strategies. This includes strengthening on‑the‑ground resources in Australia, bolstering coordination with global syndicate teams, and expanding capabilities across pricing, orderbook management, investor engagement and post‑deal analytics. These enhancements ensure BofA maintains best‑in‑class execution quality while meeting rising client demand in both the G3 and AUD markets.

The role will be deeply involved throughout every stage of the transaction lifecycle, including organizing and arranging issuer marketing, gathering and synthesizing investor feedback, shaping issuer strategy, and driving momentum through execution.
In addition, the position requires strong risk awareness and proactive engagement with Compliance and Legal to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and BofA’s broader governance standards.
