Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) data management program is one of the pivotal programs supporting business' growth plans and to strengthen its control framework. This role requires a structured execution approach to managing the risk and business enablement priorities from data perspective, combining global and regional requirements. It also requires partnering with stakeholders in GCIB and the rest of the Enterprise to drive regulatory adherence, enhancements to GCIB's data architecture, strengthen frameworks for data governance and enhance operational excellence and meet GCIB's goal to be the best-in-class. The role covers key data management pillars - adherence to policy/standards, technical and business data stewardship, report governance, data domains, data architecture roadmap execution, managing data incident/issues, records management and supporting GCIB leadership in making informed decisions. The program team intends to add new talent that can operate in an high intensity and complex business environment to drive success by executing with detail and embracing a culture of "Plan­ Do-Check-Act" as a permanent team ritual.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute business-as-usual with utmost priority to ensure speed, accuracy, alignment to program objectives and improving execution efficiency.
  • Responsible for executing Data Management policy and standards requirements
  • Execute data program in partnership with the team and its partners in GCIB Technology, Enterprise teams and Line of Business, with an approach for successful implementation, clear documentation and sustainability
  • Horizon scanning - via regular review with business executors, thematic review of data issues and incidents as well as regulatory exam results - to influence GCIB's data strategy and initiatives roadmap
  • Support execution of all responsibilities defined for the GCIB data management named roles in policy and standards while maintaining evidence of execution
  • Regular engagement with stakeholders for review of areas impacting GCIB data risks
  • Engage in audits, regulatory exams and target assessments
  • Establish and execute review of GCIB processes so that they remain adherent to relevant requirements
  • Coordinate across GCIB product areas to ensure consensus on approach for implementation and execution
  • Escalate risks to programs. Partner with key stakeholders and develop solutions and deliver mitigating actions in support of successful completion of the program
  • Develop strong relationships to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization

Key Requirements:

  • 1O+ years of experience in data risk programs; Experience in similar role (preferred)
  • Proven prior experience in roles involving data management
  • Strong leadership qualities and result driven approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to simplify and summarize complex data priorities/ technical concepts to executive stakeholders
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, work-intensive organization and be able to adapt to changing priorities while delivering with high accuracy
  • Passion for building a culture of collaboration and team-work
  • Experience with dealing with complexity of Global data issues and regulations
  • Understands GCIB business and products and can take ownership of delivery
  • Ability to operate independently and collaborate across wide span of stakeholders including bankers, senior leaders, risk partners and regulators/ auditors
  • Control focused mindset and good understanding of regulatory and reputational risks

New York pay range:

$100,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
