Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

Process Overview

Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research. The Shared Technology Platforms is a portfolio under the GBAMT Strategy, Architecture and Core Platforms portfolio. The portfolio is responsible for designing, building and maintaining high performing software systems that are used by the Global Banking and Markets Technology employees globally. These are Technology for Technology tools that cater to varying project management needs including but not limited to forecasting, hiring, resource lifecycle management etc

Job Description

Experienced web application specialist with ability to design and build complex web applications. Serve as the technical subject matter expert and mentor junior team members on best practices, design patterns, code reviews and coding standards. Have strong problem-solving skills and must be able to challenge/contribute ideas in the technical discussions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces for complex React.js-based applications.
Participate in story refinement and requirement definition.
Architect and implement scalable application components.
Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate ideas and mitigate technical risks.
Write and execute unit tests; ensure high-quality code delivery.
Collaborate effectively with distributed teams across geographies.
Conduct sprint demos and present deliverables to stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance, resolve complex issues, and coach team members on automation and best practices.

Requirements

Education- B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, M.Sc., or MCA in Computer Science or related field.

Certifications (Preferred): React.js or Angular certification.

Experience Range- 6–10 years

Foundational skills

Strong proficiency in React.js, including building complex components and migrating class-based components to functional components.
Strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+) including Dom manipulations and JS object models, HTML, CSS, and modern web development fundamentals.
Experience with REST APIs, Angular, and jQuery.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, JIRA, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and tools.
Ability to present technical concepts to senior business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and structured thinking for system flows and processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a proactive attitude.
Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
