About the Role:
Due to a talented individual moving locations, we are looking for a Product Associate to join our Global Markets Business Finance Control team. We are a global team made up of a diverse range of people from varied backgrounds who each bring unique skillsets and perspectives. The team are responsible for providing accurate & timely financial information, being effective business partners, acting as the financial conscience for the bank and delivering on Operational Excellence to make it a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own daily P&L and balance sheet review, providing market‑driven commentary and substantiation.
- Review new deals, valuation adjustments and reserves, ensuring policy compliance and robust governance.
- Deliver independent price verification (IPV) and revenue commentary across daily to quarterly cycles.
- Perform balance sheet analysis (capital, liquidity, exposures, inventory ageing) for managerial and regulatory reporting.
- Lead month‑end close, financial disclosures and netting entries.
- Partner on accounting policy, regulatory, legal entity and P&L matters.
- Support New Product Review, governance, SOX and internal control frameworks.
- Develop KPIs, support strategy, budgeting and forecasting, and manage expense approval and analytics.
What We’re Looking For
- 2:1 from a UK University (or equivalent)
- Qualified/part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience within a similar role, ideally from financial services / banking
- Good working knowledge of accounting concepts
- Knowledge of Derivative Exotic products / product control would be beneficial
- Confident Excel skills
- Understands and applies knowledge of financial concepts, principles, products, and other relevant financial information
- Rich and varied experiences from a range of backgrounds
- Ability to think laterally to find creative solutions to obstacles
