Process Overview*

CRC (Client Review Center) is a performance reporting platform in Merrill and most widely used tool on the CEW, by FA/CA for periodic review with clients for following Segments of our business. It is efficient, user-friendly, reporting engine that gives FA access to a robust library of Merrill Lynch approved exhibits – including information on performance, holdings, asset allocation and Alternative Investment. The end result is a colorful, easy-to-read professional report package that will help strengthen FAs relationship with our clients.

Job Description*

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of modern distributed applications. The role requires both hands-on coding and collaboration with stakeholders to drive strategic design decisions.

Responsibilities*

• Actively contribute to hands-on coding, building core components, APIs and microservices while ensuring high code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Ensure adherence to engineering excellence standards and compliance with key organizational metrics such as code quality, test coverage and defect rates.
• Integrate secure development practices, including data encryption, secure authentication, and vulnerability management into the application lifecycle.
• Work on adopting and aligning development practices with CI/CD best practices to enable efficient build and deployment of the application on the target platforms like VMs and/or Container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift etc.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions business requirements, driving informed decision-making and effective communication across teams.
• Mentor team members, advocate best practices, and promote a culture if continuous improvement and innovation in engineering processes.

• Graduation / Post Graduation:  BE/B.Tech/MCA

Experience Range*

• 6 to 9 Years

Foundational Skills*

• 3 to 5 yrs programming experience with .Net, and C# and Web Application development using Web API, Angular(7+)  and exposure to deployment process on IIS servers, exposure to GIT/ CICD process
• At least 2 years’ experience in Database and SQL skills. Understands and has worked with SQL Server scripts and stored procedures.
• Should be familiar with app development.
• Experience with tools such as Visual Studio, Bitbucket, JIRA, and other SDM tools
• Experience with debugging and performance tuning applications.
• Proven team player with the ability to foster a team environment.

Desired Skills*

• Knowledge of Banking and Finance domain.
• Knowledge in React JS
• Knowledge in Microservices, Dockers, and containers
• Knowledge in Visual Studio 2019
• Knowledge in .NET Core
• DevOps experience using Jenkins, Ansible, JIRA, Sonar, Automated deployment tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas and solutions
• Look beyond the surface to understand root causes so that complete and long-term solutions can be built.
• Problem solving abilities
• Ability to diagnose and support ‘highly-visible’ systems
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
