Job Description:

This job is responsible for providing client service support to potentially multiple Financial Advisors (FAs). Key responsibilities include supporting enterprise strategic objectives, operational excellence goals, and client advocacy within the FA's business, while customizing solutions based on their specific needs. Job expectations include serving as the most frequent point of contact within Merrill to address all service needs of their clients.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Provides excellent Client Service to the bank's clients through educating them on all of the bank's service and banking offerings
  • Ensures timeliness, accuracy, and completeness in client materials and follows up on all client and Financial Advisor (FA) requests
  • Assists with ensuring practices are in alignment with the bank's policies and procedures to support operational excellence, protect the bank's clients, and manage risk
  • Identifies, deepens, and maintains client relationships through emphasizing the bank's offerings and promoting incorporation of banking into day-to-day practices, while communicating outputs to the FA
  • Supports day-to-day team activities and needs including covering roles in times of absence or seasonal need increases, while leading with a client first mindset
  • Maintains and enhances relationships with new and existing clients
  • Performing a wide range of financial planning duties for both new and existing clients, including: retirement modeling, risk management/insurance analysis, educational modeling, reviews of estate planning documents, reviews of tax situation and other applicable financial planning topics. Work closely with other members of the planning team to collect and analyze data.
  • Promote client retention and satisfaction through frequent proactive client contact and engagement (working within an established client service framework)
  • Document client interactions and provide team with time sensitive updates.
  • Serve as lead in managing client contacts, preparing agendas, organizing plans, and providing appropriate follow up.
  • Coordinate all aspects of client plan presentations, including ensuring that all research and data gathering is complete, and presentation materials are prepared in a timely fashion.
  • Attend client meetings and present comprehensive financial plans, capture notes and follow up in Sales Force, and track all actions/activities to ensure highest level of client service.
  • Compose and generate correspondence and client documents, including spreadsheets and reports.
  • Participate in the portfolio review/monitoring process and work in collaboration with investment team to manage cash flow, tax issues, etc. associated with client portfolios.

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
