Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing reports to support management decision making. Key responsibilities include performing all phases of the report development process including participating in client meetings to understand needs and develop requirements, performing data research and data discovery, data sourcing including data automation, creating report visualizations, and managing report deployment including user on-boarding. Job expectations include developing, maintaining, or enhancing components of large reporting platforms to deliver comprehensive end-to-end reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and maintains innovative automated reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Business Intelligence tools including MicroStrategy and Tableau
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated data Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes from various database platforms, storing data in ‘Fit for Use’ relational tables
  • Analyzes disparate database sources including relational structures, dimensional data models, and cubes
  • Designs and builds relational data models to support the development of actionable reports, dashboards, and scorecards
  • Partners with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Creates and maintains required standard documentation including metadata, detailed workflows documenting program, and desktop procedures
  • Works collaboratively in a cross-functional team, learns from colleagues, and provides routine updates on calls related to projects

Line of Business Job Summary

The Global Data & Reporting Operations (GDRO) Business Intelligence and Data Strategy Team (BIDS) is seeking an individual responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies

Required Skills

  • 5 years of experience in a Finance, data, or business analyst role, and associated subject matter expertise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio and SharePoint
  • Familiarity programming with SQL
  • Skilled at interpreting complex information in terms your audience can comprehend, whether you are communicating with SMEs or providing distilled easy-to-understand headlines internally
  • Known for developing and improving processes and routines while ensuring compliance via horizontal and vertical influence and engagement.
  • Knowledge and experience at a global financial institution(s) (involvement in Compliance or Risk Management preferred) or regulatory background
  • Solution driven, confident, highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Known for your ability to interact on a daily basis with all levels of the organization, reviewing and gaining feedback on organizational metrics

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Business or related field
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with peers and multiple levels of management
