Position Summary

This role is a key member of the External Engagement & Risk Governance team within Global Information Security (GIS) that provides critical support for external engagement activities across GIS and with partner organizations.  This role will also support information security risk governance execution and routines for GIS.  The best teammate for this role will possess strong organizational, analytical and execution skills, pay close attention to details, is a great communicator and collaborator, and excels at being deadline oriented to succeed in a fast-paced environment.  The strongest candidates will have a drive for investigating, analyzing, problem solving and be comfortable meeting demands associated with managing multiple projects in a global environment.

As a Sector Engagement and Risk Specialist, you will:

  • Oversee GIS participation in external public-private partnership efforts

  • Develop strategic external communication and engagement plans

  • Ensure that GIS's participation in external efforts is aligned to GIS priorities, achieves stated goals

  • Maintain the governance framework for GIS's participation in in external sector efforts. 

  • Coordinate, maintain, and communicate to stakeholders a schedule of deliverables and routine timelines to ensure commitments are met on time

  • Ensure that projects are delivering to milestones on time and within resource guidelines, identifying/tracking/ addressing roadblocks. 

  • Work with teammates to support and strengthen existing GIS risk governance routines. 

  • Building and maintain relationships within GIS and the broader Bank of America Enterprise. 

:Required Skills

  • Experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a matrixed reporting environment

  • Strong analytical skills and fact-based decision-making

  • Proven ability to communicate complex information in simple terms (oral and written)

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize requests and workload accordingly

  • Influence horizontally and vertically across the organization and diverse audiences

  • Self-starter, highly organized, excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities

  • Exhibit strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

  • Project management experience a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Prepares effective PowerPoint slides to present analysis and other information


Desired Skills:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative environment

  • Demonstrated experience with Project Planning, specifically skills to properly scope a project, as well as set goals and objectives

  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical line of business owners and risk partners

  • Demonstrable experience with communicating effectively

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity stakeholder groups

Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and information security concepts (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO) to establish and maintain policies, validate alignment of processes and controls to requirements, and report on adherence to policy requirements. Job expectations include using data analytics and partnering with internal teams to verify policy compliance, identify gaps in coverage, and support remediation activities.

Colorado pay range:

$76,500.00 - $136,400.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
