The Team:

The successful candidate will be a member of the Global Liquidity Management (GLM), a division of Corporate Treasury. GLM have over 100 professionals across global financial centres and are part of the first line of defence for liquidity risk across Bank of America.

The individual will be for responsible for managing and monitoring the liquidity requirements in concert with the local Treasury teams for Bank of America’s European-based subsidiaries and branches. The position will give the candidate a chance to work alongside colleagues across global regions to drive GLM’s wider strategic initiatives. The role requires facing off to senior Treasury, Risk, Global Markets and Global Banking teams across several locations (Dublin, London, Paris, New York, Charlotte) amongst others.

Role Description:

The role requires a practical capability to interpret guidelines, frameworks and policies (both internal and external) and apply them to entity’s in scope.  Intellectual curiosity and task-orientation are keys for a successful candidate in this role. 

The team will support your knowledge on internal infrastructures and technical requirements but you will be aided by existing knowledge of both types.  Of the latter, expect to be engaged in determining/understanding liquidity risks, underlying drivers, cash flow forecasting, scenario analysis and/or stress testing.  While the role is in Corporate Treasury, there is significant engagement with front line units.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor liquidity risks relating to the firm’s business activities; i.e. produce key liquidity dashboards and forecasts to manage day to day funding and liquidity

  • Engage with the Lines of Business to understand funding and liquidity drivers and provide guidance

  • Analyse new business initiatives and products to assess their liquidity and funding risks

  • Interpret and respond to new regulations impacting liquidity

  • Support dialogue with senior managers and regulators

  • Support other ad hoc projects within International Global Liquidity Management (GLM)

  • Support management reporting processes

  • Develop and implement global and regional liquidity management policies

  • Support annual documentation and governance processes (e.g. ILAAP)

  • Support GLstrategic initiatives

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working in financial services, banking or a large consulting firm (Big 4 / Top 10)

  • Background in process improvement, operational excellent and project management

  • Experience with liquidity / treasury would be beneficial

  • Large data management skills (i.e. Excel, other tools) to enable effective problem solving and data analysis

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or other related field
