New Issue Product & Strategy Executive

ISG Capital Markets is looking for a New Issue Product & Strategy Executive that is an experienced financial professional with experience, knowledge and skills sets to lead strategy and the achievement of business and risk initiatives for the years ahead. 

The position is responsible for identifying and managing strategic initiatives designed to support and enhance the positioning of a line of business and the associate will be responsible for guiding New Issue Business product and strategy as well as acting as a centralized point for New Issue contact for governance and supervision initiatives.  This work will include partnership with key ISG Capital Market LOB and Legal/Risk/Control partners to ensure Enterprise governance adherence across New Issues, including – Risk and Control (PRC) Inventory, QA Metrics, compliance and supervision procedures and key strategy initiatives (including product and platform growth) for advisors and clients.  In addition, the individual will lead work to enhance the approval, marketing, and distribution frameworks of New Issue solutions to advisors and clients.  The role may also include responsibilities relating to the development and improvement of business group processes and technology. Additionally, contribute the ongoing management and the development and ongoing strategy for Non-Traditional Assets. Co-ordinate/produce investment strategy thought leadership for GWIM investment strategy working with CIO office on Non-Traditional Assets. Ensures that operations are consistent in supporting the client strategy and the broader business strategy for Non-Traditional Assets

This senior leadership role will require asset manager relationship management, syndicate relationship management, live deal support and executive management reporting.  The ideal candidate will have extensive, in-depth knowledge of product functions and can operate independently in handling transactions. Strong client relationship skills used to control and coordinate all aspects of a transaction, from marketing and documentation to closing.

Desired skills and experience:

  • 10 years plus of financial services experience preferred.
  • 5 years plus of New Issue (Equity or Debt Capital Market) experience preferred.
  • Ability to identify control gaps and create/execute control plans to remediate those gaps.
  • Ability to analyze, determine, drive, and build solutions independently and proactively.
  • Relationship management skills and ability to interface confidently with associates of all levels, including senior executives including senior traders and salespersons.
  • Ability to multi-task across competing priorities while managing to tight timelines.
  • Exposure to different asset classes at a high level, to fully understand differences between fixed income (corporate and municipal), asset-backed securities, and equities.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg desired. Highly motivated, dynamic, innovative, and team-oriented individual
  • Investment product knowledge and client facing experience.
  • Dedicated work ethic & initiative, and desire to learn.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt under pressure.
  • Strong project management skills – able to prioritize and deal with shifting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to work within groups, as well as individually.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be able to function in an open area (trading floor) environment.
  • Required registrations include Series 7, 63 or 65/66 and 79, or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.

Pay range

$202,500.00 - $307,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
