Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting programs and projects specific to corporate change initiatives that impact how the bank does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Key responsibilities include assisting department managers with critical change initiatives and communicating, influencing, and negotiating both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources. Job expectations include delivering regulatory and executive material and ensuring results align to program strategy, simplification, and new capabilities. 

Member of the Enterprise Credit (Commercial) Operational Excellence Team. This role will support the Process Design Consultants for the Enterprise Credit Commercial (ECC) organization delivering Risk and Operational efficiencies. This strong individual contributor will be responsible for providing analytical and administrative support for ECC’s specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards and programs.

This position will primarily interact with other members of the ECC OpEx team, process and control owners, but interactions may extend to technology, project management, learning, communication partners, as well as senior executives. The ability to influence and navigate across the diverse internal ECC groups is a key factor to be successful in this role. Key responsibilities include assisting Idea owners with critical change initiatives and communicating, influencing, and negotiating both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources to implement ideas and solutions and track those ideas in ETSI – IDT and Speak Up.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with defining program controls, processes, procedures, reporting cadence, decision governance structures, and ways of working with key stakeholders 
  • Partners closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new change initiatives
  • Supports the execution of defined tasks through tracking of program milestones and their statuses, developing program plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and overcomes program risks and produces program reports for managers and stakeholders
  • Identifies key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors to perform in alignment with the program objectives 
  • Works with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department, leading them to negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution
  • Meets with stakeholders to provide transparency into project issues and decisions on services, builds positive relationships, asks questions, and uses tools to uncover root causes to challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations
  • Partner with LOB leads within ECC and guide working teams through strategic OpEx ideation sessions by utilizing a simplification mindset to determine process simplification efforts
  • Oversight into OpEx Funding Requests/Intake for Initiative Planning
  • Support for Business Case development, Quarterly Business Reviews Reporting
  • Interact with all levels of the EC organization from Process executives, Credit BSEs, to technology partners
  • Integrate business best practices and leverage technology to develop and deploy automated/revised solutions. Build action plans to identify pain points/variation and provides recommendations to drive continuous improvement
  • Consult with Enterprise OpEx team in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to leverage technology, old and new, to identify and solve problems and improve processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in process improvement/design and project management
  • Understanding of BOA’s Process Management Policy and Standard, Risk Management Framework and Business Controls
  • High proficiency in MS Office suite, especially SharePoint, Excel and pivot tables
  • Exceptional data analytics skills and attention to detail with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable reports for executive audience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate enterprise, research, and resource information across the bank
  • Ability to work independently – set and manage plans, achieve results
  • Highly organized and able to effectively manage competing priorities and compressed timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to drive action and sustain momentum/results oriented
  • Strong partnership skills – build broad-based business relationships across the organization using influencing skills while demonstrating strong conflict resolution capabilities
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in making sound decisions while facilitating process working sessions
  • Strong ability to influence and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Commercial lending environment, organizational alignment, strategic priorities
  • Consulting or change management experience
  • Strong technical skills in emerging tools/technologies (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, SharePoint Reporting Services, .Net, SQL DB, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

New York pay and benefits information

New York pay range:

$78,300 - $167,700 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
