Responsibilities:

  • Define, build and test the solution often working on multiple projects/work-streams at the same time.

  • Drive implementation of Key Features using Lean Agile methodology.

  • Support the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts to search for new capabilities.

  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle of products and services from inception stage through to the final implementation.

  • Discover, ingest, and incorporate new sources of real-time, streaming, batch, and API-based data into platform.

  • Load and assess large data in Hadoop.

  • Optimize data pipelines and queries for better performance and scalability.

  • Design and develop solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications for enterprise risk and finance users including CCAR, Forecasting, capital, and treasury groups.

  • Design and develop high availability and low latency production ready software using web, cloud and distributed technologies including Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Hive, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment.

  • Work on SQL to tune and cost optimize database queries that are used with large forecasting and capital data.

  • Perform coding and debugging using analytical skills and understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.

  • Work on designing Business process management using Activiti, JBPM and rules management using Drools.

  • Assess and maintain delivery frameworks such as SDLC, test driven development (TDD), and functional delivery of more than one large scale IT project.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related; and

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.

  • Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications for enterprise risk and finance users including CCAR, Forecasting, capital, and treasury group;

Jersey City pay and benefits information

Jersey City pay range:

$185,000 - $195,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
