Job Description:

This job is responsible for consulting on corporate business continuity topics with clients. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing solutions that protect the bank's assets and participating or leading business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities (i.e., scenario analysis, plan development, testing, event management, and progress reporting/measurement). Job expectations include providing subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts current-state risk-based assessments to develop business continuity management strategies and monitors the effectiveness following the implementation of the plan
  • Evaluates the performance of plans, processes, and programs at assigned organizational level, while assessing progress towards identified objectives
  • Implements, monitors, and modifies procedures for the effective response to incidents and the continuance of critical business services, based on testing and exercises of plans or actual events
  • Supports testing of business continuity plans to assess readiness, identify deficiencies, and promote enhancements
  • Identifies, validates, and escalates gaps in business continuity readiness to senior management and second line partners
  • Actively lead and triage significant multi-FLU events, leveraging key support tools and references to ensure understanding and effective communication of potential impact to customers/clients experience, processes and/or other significant business disruption. 
  • Drive results, by effectively consulting with business partner sduring response to events, and also ensuring all stakeholders are accountable for any post event results (such as impact and quality analysis)
  • Create timely and accurate business communications, ensuring documentation of the incident is accurate
  • Using sound judgment, escalate incidents to senior leadership when required
  • Represent incidents in operational status and incident review meetings as well as post problem review and incident follow up
  • Interact effectively with teammates, management and partners and work with a sense of urgency as well as have the ability to multi-task
  • Provide On-Call support for rotating Weekends and Holidays as needed

  • Strong analytical capability to drive root cause analysis and demonstrates attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze end to end processes and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Working familiarity with incident management and remediation
  • Demonstrated problem solving, strong follow up skills and ability to escalate and gain resolution as needed
  • Self-starter able to work independently and influence desired outcomes, with minimal oversight and guidance
  • Must be able to prioritize responsibilities and consistently deliver work within multiple SLAs.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and proactively complete work
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, with strong written communication and proofreading skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills and executive presence, supporting Senior Level Managers
  • Excellent relationship building skills with proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across various businesses
  • Ability to see potential issues and proactively develop solutions
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Intellectual curiosity
