The Team:

GCIBT EMEA is looking for a Product Owner to join an existing team of Cross Domain Product Owners located in the UK.  The team work with business and technology partners to deliver projects covering Payments, Accounting, Liquidity, Credit, Loans, and Regulatory change, spanning EMEA, APAC, Canada and LATAM regions.

Role Description:

This role is responsible for maximizing the value for a product. Key responsibilities include defining the vision and roadmap for the product, defining, reviewing and prioritizing requirements in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and different impacted development teams. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model, to ensure there is alignment.

Responsibilities:

  • With some guidance, create the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain.
  • Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems.
  • Assess the scope of change and impact to technology and stakeholders
  • Liaise between the business units, technology teams, delivery and support teams to arrive at optimal solutions.
  • Facilitate walkthroughs for requirement and solution assessments.
  • Collaborate with solution designers, developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and review trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Performing initial engagement with the business to ascertain concept designs and project estimates and provide technology guidance.
  • Create and prioritize work for teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough “ready” stories in the backlog.
  • Review and accept stories and make on-the-spot agreements regarding scope and requirements.
  • Work in partnership with technology teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business.
  • Ensure the requirements are delivered by IT and/or vendors as specified.
  • Ensuring timely quality deliverables.
  • Regular status reporting to Senior Management in technology and the business

What we are looking for:

  • Business Analysis or Product Owner experience, preferably with formal BA training.
  • Has experience in requirements elicitation techniques such as interviews, document review, requirements workshops, surveys, business process flows, use cases.
  • Has experience reviewing and documenting requirements using an agile methodology (Epics and Stories)
  • Has experience working with business and technology teams to deliver solutions in a banking environment.
  • Experienced in working on multiple simultaneously.
  • Has extensive technical and data analysis experience working with a variety of architectures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with both Business and technology teams.
  • Good technical and architecture knowledge.
  • Skills that will help:
  • Business Analysis certification
  • Experience with Agile project methodologies
  • Knowledge of, Payments, such as SWIFT, ACH, CHAPS, Faster Payments, SEPA, TARGET2, ISO 20022
  • Demand Deposit Accounting,
  • Treasury and Cash Management Systems,
  • Banking Regulations, such as OFAC, FTR, PSD2, AML,
  • Trade Finance and Loans
