Role Overview:
We are looking to hire a country-based HR Generalist for Saudi; supporting and covering the MENA region (KSA, UAE, and Qatar). Responsible for supporting and providing a full range of largely transactional HR services.
The role is a key resource to providing HR services to the country and business line manager(s) and other support functions (Legal, Finance, Corporate Services, etc.) in order to handle a variety of employment related queries, solve problems, develop and implement solutions and administration typically for HR related issues.
Being a control function and part of the wider EMEA/MENA HR team, we partner with other functions such as Compliance to ensure employees and the organisation remains compliant with all aspects of local employment law, corporate HR policy, CMA regulation etc.
Responsibilities:
You will partner with our regional HR teams (Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Global Mobility, Payroll, Learning & Development, HR Service Centre) to provide local market insight, to support employees locally
You will support line managers on performance management matters including issues resolution: career development, promotions, performance improvement, pay increases, and disciplinary actions
You will partner with Legal (internal & external), updating employee policies and guidelines, ensuring they remain in compliance with the MLSD (Ministry of Labour & Social Development) and payroll teams regarding GOSI (General Organisation for Social Insurance) verifications and submissions
You will be responsible for administering and processing MLSD related tasks and requirements, helping to ensure compliant Saudisation levels and that employee records are correctly and accurately captured
In partnership with Global Mobility, you will assist in the transfer of employees (inbound and outbound), ensuring employment documentation is in place. You will initiate and support the processing of visas and residency permit renewals and issuance in Muqeem and assisting in the administration of visa invitations and letters with the Saudi Chamber of Commerce
You will provide reports/information for both internal and external audit partners, linking in internal teams where required i.e. Headcount reporting, organisation charts, etc.
You will partner with relevant teams in the management of vendors (i.e. legal, insurance, recruitment and compensation and benefits consultancy firms)
You will manage access to the Riyadh Municipality portal – ensuring the licence for Merrill Lynch Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MLKSA) is updated annually in partnership with the Corporate Services team and the MENA Chief Operating Officer (COO).
What we are looking for:
A Saudi national who is fluent in both written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.
A degree in Business Administration, or Human Resources Management is preferred.
Proven HR experience, ideally with international exposure i.e. with a global Co or multinational will be advantageous
Confident interpersonal, judgment and influencing skills
A problem solver who is good at identifying, analysing, and solving issues
Good implementation skills, a ‘doer’
Consultancy approach, an individual who is good at working with others
Pragmatic, proactive and able to use their initiative
Hands-on and prepared to get involved and work at all levels
Attention to detail is essential, self-motivated team player
