Senior Vice President, Marketing, Asia Pacific

Job Description:

This is a leadership role in Bank of America’s (BofA) regional Communications, Marketing and Corporate Affairs team.  Working with a fast-paced team, you will help drive Brand Marketing Programs across the franchise. You will partner with senior leaders across a multi asset platform to deliver integrated marketing plans that will help position and drive business growth. The successful candidate will focus on rapidly developing BofA’s presence and reputation, commensurate with its position as one of the world’s largest and fastest growing financial institutions. They will bring new ideas, work on innovative programs, and be a key member of both regional and international marketing leadership.

Your background

  • At least 12 years of integrated marketing experience with a strong track record at a leading multinational financial institution or securities firm.

  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized leading university - a relevant MBA is preferred.

  • Strong executive presence and excellent English language skills, as required in a regional role.

  • Possess deep B2B marketing (positioning, messaging, branding, advertising, digital and events), analytical and technical expertise within the global markets and global banking space.

  • Solid track record in planning and managing budgets, whilst integrating the overall effort with business stakeholders, events and communication leads with knowledge of the key Asia Pacific market hubs.

  • Strong interpersonal acumen, clear communication skills and the ability to ‘influence.’

  • Able to simplify complex issues, propose high impact solutions, prioritize and rationalize opportunities and issues from a marketing, risk management and compliance perspective.

  • Able to operate in a high-functioning, matrixed organization, building consensus and ensuring compliance with global standards.

  • The role is based in Hong Kong and reports into the Regional Head of Communications, Marketing & Corporate Affairs.

What you will do

  • Create, develop, and deliver innovative, high impact marketing programs:

    • Support client engagement through key new and inspiring marketing initiatives.

    • Execute marketing programs across countries, segments, and channels to maximum impact.

    • Use data in all its forms to optimize programs in real time.

    • Ensure activation of bank programs across all channels by working closely with colleagues in other teams internationally and globally, including Communications, Events and other client facing functions.

    • Capture and report on marketing initiatives, run approvals, and ensure compliance in the increasingly regulated marketing landscape.

  • Help coordinate and utilize the regional marketing team and agency partners at your disposal.

  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships across the region.

  • Align with global marketing counterparts to leverage and partner across marketing activities and campaigns.

  • Market effectively within a risk management framework, with compliance and operational efficiency.
