Role Description:

As part of the Bank’s commitment to be a Great Place to Work, we are looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist for UK and Ireland to deliver and manage our flexible benefits programmes in these locations. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for a wide range of benefit plans and policies to support the Bank’s people strategy. We are also looking for expertise to help shape and deliver on the Bank’s Wellbeing strategy and a number of key projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • A senior benefits consultant with a proven experience in design, governance and service delivery of benefits in the UK and Ireland

  • Take on the role of senior benefits consultant, working within a broader team that manage pensions and benefits for EMEA and Canada.

  • Report to the SVP Senior Benefits Consultant for Benefits and Wellbeing and take responsibility for the design and implementation benefits programs that support the Bank’s broader HR and Benefits strategy

  • Management of the UK & Ireland Benefits program including oversight of the Bank’s Flexible Benefits program – MyBenefitsChoices.

  • Oversight of 30+ vendors delivering programs across life, accident, disability, as well as voluntary benefits which include travel and gadget insurance

  • Effective Vendor management will be a core responsibility, incorporating the effective review, re-negotiation of contracts and renewal terms

  • Partner with third party vendor management and information security to ensure vendors meet the bank’s vendor terms and conditions

  • Wellbeing is core to the Banks strategy, and the successful candidate will work with team members to support the running of onsite and near-site medical services including GPs, Drs, Psychiatric services

What we are looking for:

  • Both Consulting and in-house experience

  • Experience in driving Wellbeing Strategy and Initiatives – focused on mental health and emotional wellbeing

  • Experience with Healthcare Trust arrangements and medical plans

  • Depth of technical understanding of insurance contracts and risk principles; you will have previously been responsible for assessing risk and negotiating risk contracts with insurers for large employers

  • Solid experience in health insurance contracts and health trust managements in the UK and Health Insurance in Ireland

  • Exceptional attention of detail along with experience of governance models for effective benefits management

  • Experience of working in a large multi-national organisation within a matrix structure; experienced in managing and working with multiple stakeholders

  • Solid experience of working with flexible benefits providers, understand scheme design and configuration of flexible benefits plans and programs
