CFO Data Management (CFO DM) is responsible for ensuring data is timely, accurate and complete with respect to Bank of America’s CFO needs and use cases. This role will be responsible for leading and strategizing transaction testing for the data management organization, which requires partnership with testing sponsors and other data teams in the company. Transaction testing is a complex testing methodology modeled after regulatory testing methods, which aims to substantiate reported regulatory data to original firm artifacts and transactions within the company. The objective of this type of testing is to ensure data integrity as it moves across the complex data lifecycle and eco-system and undergoes various changes before landing on a given report.
Key Responsibilities - In this role you will:
- Coordinate with testing sponsors such as internal audit and independent testing teams, test program owners, Enterprise Data Management and Regulators to understand testing requirements and scope.
- Work with various business partners from other organizations to gather and provide necessary source documentation to meet testing requirements.
- Need to be highly organized in understanding deadlines and managing expectations across all stakeholder groups.
- Facilitate testing deliverables/needs across CFO data management teams to complete deliverables.
- Identify, communicate and drive out areas of improvement for the operating model to support optimal transaction testing processing.
- Identify, own and escalate issues as needed.
- Drive Operational Excellence by consistently striving to achieve responsible growth. Identify and implement potential areas for process improvement.
- Adhere to Enterprise Data Management Testing Framework.
- Be adaptable with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Report to senior executives on status updates, risks/issues/dependencies and manage expectations with senior level audiences.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting/finance/business/analytics or related fields
- 10+ years of data management/analysis and lending product expertise within the financial industry
- Able to bridge business and technical topics, distill into simple verbal and written communication
- Strong partnering, influence, and leadership abilities
- Time management skills, detailed oriented, organized – able to balance multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Able to self-direct/prioritize tasks while also helping manage the workload and development of supporting analysts
- Curious, strategic, and independent thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficient with SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Quick learner with ability to adapt to changing requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and manage expectations across a matrixed organization
