Sr. Operations Analyst - Private Bank Trade Support

Enterprise Overview:

Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mg.t/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. As a technical expert, acts as a unit advisor providing technical support to less experienced associates. This role typically requires 3+ years' experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.

 

LOB Description:

The Private Bank Investment Operations Team provides operational support for all bank placed trades executed by the Investment Solutions Group (ISG). This opportunity is available within the Merrill & Private Bank Trading Services organization to support functions for Private Bank Investment Operations.  The Private Bank Investment Operations GWIM Senior Operations Analyst will be responsible for providing daily operational support of fixed income trading for Private Bank processes. The individual ensures the timely and accurate delivery of fixed income trades and daily reporting requirements within defined timeframes.  This role interacts regularly with traders, portfolio managers, technology teams, and control partners.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform regulatory reporting, manually or systematically
  • Research and resolution on all exceptions with appropriate parties (trading, brokers and operations partners)
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all internal and external contacts to promote expeditious trade problem resolution
  • Ensuring all Service Level Agreement’s for Trade Support have been adhered to
  • Ensuring that all issues are escalated to the appropriate levels in a timely fashion
  • Ensuring compliance to all levels of audit and compliance (laws, rules and regulations)
  • Completing projects (industry or regulatory) assigned by Department Manager or Team Lead

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an investment operations role supporting trade related functions or equivalent
