Role Description:

We are looking for a talented senior Hadoop developer to work in the Risk & Finance Technology team. You will be responsible for designing and developing BigData ETL solutions to help solve complex business problems within one of the most interesting parts of one of the world’s largest banks. You will work closely with business users, business analysts and development colleagues to build best in class risk management solutions.

The Team:

Our Risk & Finance Technology team build enterprise scale solutions supporting the bank’s Risk and Finance divisions. Working as part of global teams, we leverage a wide range of technologies, working on some of the most important projects in the bank. We work in an agile fashion and are always striving to improve our processes, putting a big emphasis on researching new technologies.

Core Skills:

Required

  • Experience of BigData development (Hive, Impala, Spark)
  • Proficient in hands-on relational database/SQL development
  • Good knowledge of shell scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Preferred

  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Programming experience in Java desirable but not essential
  • BI development experience desirable but not essential
