Data Protection Lead

Job Description:

Data Protection Lead to build, enhance and maintain sensitive data protection across the Enterprise in compliance with regulatory and contractual policies and agreements.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/Build new processes for protecting sensitive data in a Hadoop Data-Lake
  • Actively research issues and work with colleagues to quickly resolve
  • Partner with third party vendors and other internal technical and line of business teams to accomplish project timelines and development plan
  • Provide support to Integrated, Independent and Production Support Testing environments
  • Lead preparation of documents like Technical Design, Functional Design, Project Plans, WBS, Operations Guide
  • Preparation of Unit Test Plan and System Test plan and lead unit, CIT and SIT testing.
  • Support system test batch cycles and work on data related issues
  • Develop and maintain standards, common processes and best practices.
  • Review/Write scripts for data protection in Hadoop environment integrating third party tools

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Big Data tech stack including Hadoop, Spark, Hive etc.
  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience in building data pipelines.
  • Experience in developing data ingestion and processing
  • Knowledge of encryption and tokenization algorithms for data protection is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in Python scripting and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of sanitization and data masking techniques is a plus
  • Experienced in working with IMS and DB2 databases is a plus
  • Experience with Integrated and Independent Release management testing processes.
  • Must have ability to drive and lead projects.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead/ Solution Architect
  • Must have strong communications skills to communicate with external vendors, different teams within the bank such as users, governance teams, platform teams, Hadoop, application team etc.  to determine specific solutions for various use cases.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC techniques.
  • Exposure to application maintenance and support.
