Software Engineer II

Job Description:

Summary

Supporting Client Correspondence and Reporting, including statement and confirm applications.  Supports regulatory work in these applications, from application production support management, as well as new development initiatives.

Responsible for understanding business strategic initiatives, and understanding impact to applications.  Interface with internal technical teams, coding/testing/reviewing application code, and implementing under compliance standards.  Assists team with lights-on initiatives, including application issue management. Being a member of a team that consistently hits, often exceeds deliverables supporting our GWIM Lines of Business. 

Required Skills:

  • Strong Communication and Analytical Skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience with Db2, including stored procedures, development, and interactions with DBAs.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with COBOL/PROC/JCL, including coding, debugging, testing and implementation procedures
  • Proficiency in Endeavor
  • Experience working with development teams, internal technical cross functional teams, including DBA, Release management, SDM etc.
  • Strong skills with issue management within JIRA tool
  • Proficient in JIRA Agile Story Management tool

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with ETL Tools, preferably DataStage
  • Experience in Financial Services domain
  • Sizable exposure and knowledge in Risk and Change management.
  • Critical thinker and real time problem solving skills.
