Job Description:  
                Bank of America’s Security Sustained Engineering team is seeking for a Sr. Technology Associate that will support the development, maintenance and integration of end-to-end service performance monitoring, service validation and testing tools for network infrastructure solutions such as Threat Prevention, Network Security, Web browsing, Perimeter Security and DMZ networks. As part of this role, the Sr. Technology Associate will partner with subject matter experts, service users, monitoring, tools and automation teams to drive innovation and develop solutions that monitor and maintain network services performing effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure network security services are operating sustainably within expected performance thresholds
  • Develop service validation, testing and monitoring solutions to ascertain the performance of the network services
  • Partner with service users, operations teams, and technology subject matter experts to define needs and requirements for service monitoring and validation use cases.
  • Partner with the network automation and telemetry/analytics teams to develop and maintain service validation & testing capabilities in alignment with strategic initiatives.
  • Interpret data and telemetry to define new capabilities and service improvement opportunities
  • Retrofit findings into change execution, incident response and operations support teams to adjust and improve network services for optimal performance.
  • Plan, coordinate and track the execution of new service validation and testing deliverables
  • Integrate new security solutions with Bank standard tools to provide system monitoring and alerting, service validation, logging, system access, configuration management, etc.

Requirements

  • Education – Graduation (Any Degree)
  • Certifications If Any
  • Experience: 4-6 Years

Foundational Skills:

  • Ample background and technical experience in networking, network security or cybersecurity solutions such as Web Proxies, Threat Prevention, Malware Detection, Firewall, IDS, Load Balancing, etc., is key to this role to grasp technical concepts.
  • Experience in supporting monitoring, telemetry, data analytics or service validation and testing functions for network solutions.
  • Experience with ECSL Splunk or similar network logging or SIEM solutions to develop data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities, developing performance dashboards and service performance indicators to ensure network services are running at optimal levels.
  • Experience in Splunk Search processing language is highly desirable.
  • Programming/scripting and/or automation experience (Perl, Python, Ansible, etc.) or background in Site Reliability Engineering framework is highly desired

    Desired Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, telecommunications or systems engineering is desirable.
    • Experience with network performance and monitoring tools such as Netscout, Sitescope, SevOne, HP NNMI, HPNA or similar is desirable.
    • Solid understanding of network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, OSI Model, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, TLS/SSL, FTP, SOCKS, DNS, IP addressing, logging.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and an ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the business
    • Firm understanding of IT Service Management processes, ITIL Certification preferred
