Process Overview

Global Banking and Markets Technology group (GBAMT) provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Banking and Markets businesses including Treasury, Trade Finance, Credit, Payments, Transaction Banking, Equities Trading, Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. In addition, GBAMT also provides technology solutions across several horizontal functions including Sales, CRM, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client services for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.

Job Description

An opening exists for an experienced production support analyst within Global Wholesale Banking Technology & Operations (GWBT&O) team in India.  The successful candidate will be responsible for daily Production Support functions (for Java based apps) for CashPro applications. He/She will work on and ensure that all incidents related to the supported applications are resolved in a timely manner. The resource will ensure functioning of the production environment with the view to maintain stability and control.

Responsibilities

  • Provide application support in accordance with ITIL guidelines within the agreed SLAs.
  • Debug and fix production issues by analyzing java web services code. Able to build complex SQL queries.
  • Drive automation and process improvements.
  • Willing to work in Shifts (No Night shifts) and weekends (can avail comp-off).
  • Participate in high priority incident triage calls which may include but not limited to DB server issues, application server issues and network issues.
  • Perform system debugging/server health checks using tools like Splunk/App Dynamics.

Requirements

Education: Any university graduate.

Experience range: 4-7 Years

Certifications If any: NA

Foundational Skills:

  • Experience in Level 2 production support
  • Experience in Java / J2EE Frameworks (web services), MQ, Microservices, Mulesoft, JBoss and/or WebLogic.
  • Experience in Database – Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD. Hands on experience SQL and PL/SQL with Database, preferably Oracle. Able to build medium to complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in OS – Unix Commands, Shell Scripts
  • Experience in Job scheduling tools - Autosys
  • Experience on troubleshooting tools – Splunk and App Dynamics.

Desired Skills

  • ITIL Certified
  • Java Certified

Work Timings: Rotation between 1st shift (6:30 AM to 3:30 PM IST) and 2nd shift (1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST)
