SBA Loan Express Specialist

Job Description:

Enterprise Description: The Commercial Credit Specialist (CCS) is responsible for tasks related to the end-to-end credit process and is able to work independently with minimal supervision. CCS role is the first point of engagement for the client team and responsible for ensuring timely and consistent execution of the credit process. Responsibilities include initial deal coordination, order and review of pre-close due diligence, preparation of internal legal documents, validation of operational feasibility, coordination of closing activities, and set-up/scheduling/collection/monitoring of client-related documentation. Role is centrally located, market aligned and remote from the client team. Role will have virtual client contact in order to facilitate collection of required documentation and other closing activities. May coach or mentor others on team. BA/BS degree preferred.

Responsible for processing SBA Express approvals and counteroffers.  Performs client contact and obtains due diligence in accordance with SBA and bank policy and procedures.  Ensure all credit and line partner service quality standards are met, including but not limited to setting proper expectations for the loan process and turnaround times, meeting those expectations, and maintaining consistent communications throughout the process.

Required Skills

  • Strong Customer Service Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

  • Experience with complex computer systems or programs

  • Must be able to multi-task in fast paced environment

  • Excellent teamwork and organization skills

Desired Skills

  • GUS & GFS knowledge

  • SBA due diligence and knowledge

  • Strong systems orientation

  • Previous loan experience
