Alternative Investments Internal Sales Manager

Job Description:

The Alternative Investments Internal Sales Manager role reports to the Head of Alternative Investments Specialist team and is primarily responsible for leading an internal sales desk in the sales, marketing and educational support to Merrill Lynch financial advisors and private wealth advisors and Bank of America portfolio managers and private client advisors on Alternative Investment product suite including hedge funds, managed futures, private equity, and real asset solutions.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

 

  • Contributing to overall ISG AI Distribution Strategy, along with Regional Business Planning
  • Providing coaching and managerial oversight to internal sales team, including expanding product knowledge, executing on sales strategy, professional development, and problem resolution.
  • Gathering feedback from financial advisors, clients and other stakeholders to inform product platform and ease of use initiatives.
  • Acting as primary point of contact for ISG Alternative Investments Service Desk to ensure high service level is maintained.
  • Partnering with other functional teams in advancing a variety of strategic initiatives, including, but not limited to, Advisor Segmentation, AI Marketing, Education, CIO Guidance, and AI account availability.
  • Working closely with Sales Strategy and Partner Management Team in executing across product launch protocol, event execution and 3rd party manager engagement.
  • Ensuring that the team is providing highest possible level of sales and service support to clients, financial advisors, and RSMs.

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing or finance
  • Minimum of 7 years of financial services sales experience, with an emphasis on Alternative Investments
  • Series 7 and 63;  Series 24 or ability to obtain within compliance deadline

Preferred:

  • CFA, CAIA or MBA a plus
  • Experience with managing activities and pipeline in a CRM tool
  • Prior management or team lead experience is a plus
