Process Overview*

I&BST Client underwriting Technology team is a multi-year technology platform to create a Best in Class underwriting system for unsecured underwriting that will significantly improve automation, efficiency, controls, and enable customer-centric lending. This platform supports consumer & small business banking with existing Java , C& emerging Mulesoft technologies

Job Description*

I&BST Client underwriting Technology team is looking for a Quality Specialist, and the individual would be responsible for testing and delivering software to accomplish business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the role includes ensuring that software is tested to meet all functional requirements, defining manual tests, and executing both manual and automated test suites & webservices API.

Responsibilities*

• Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
• Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria.
• Participates in test case reviews and makes necessary updates.
• Builds and uses test data required to accomplish execution of test cases.
• Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results.
• Assist in traceability activities as required.
• Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
• Work collaboratively with the developing team (other team members and departments) to correct errors and participate in testing for product releases
• Gathering requirements; analyzing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Design, develop, execute automation scripts when needed
• Ownership in end-end testing
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
• Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation
• Ensure that all the standards and process are being implemented within a projects
• Experience with Test Script Automation
• Experience with Test Planning and Test Script Creation
• Web services, SOAP UI/Rest API & Parasoft based tool testing

Requirements*

  • Education* B.E./ B Tech / M.E./M Tech, M.C.A [with B.Sc., B Com, BBM],  M.Sc. (Computer Science, IT, S/W, Mathematics, Electronics, Physics, Statistics)
  • Certifications If Any
  • Experience *  2-4 years of experience in Software Testing

  • Foundational skills*

•  4 - 6 years of experience in Software Testing.
• Able to apply test strategies with 3+ years of experience in data analysis
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologies
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins.
• Suggest alternate test approaches wherever applicable.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. ALM, qTest, Zephyr, JIRA)
• Familiar with the life cycle of projects (CIT, SIT, UAT)
• Train the junior resources and bring up to speed in shorter duration.
• Hands on agile experience
• Exposure to Data migration projects
• Exposure to Automation.
• Exposure to Scripting languages VB Script/VBA, SOAP UI & Parasoft webservices tool testing
• Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities.
