The Emerging Growth & Regional Coverage business focuses on establishing strategic dialogue and building long-term relationships with U.S. mid-cap companies and sponsors, venture capital and emerging growth companies through localized and dedicated coverage.  We provide strong advisory expertise, capitalizing on powerful mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions.

Job Description

Vice Presidents play a key role supporting origination, opportunity evaluation and deal execution, working on a broad scope of assignments across all industries and products for Middle Market and Emerging Private companies.  They will work closely with the RMs responsible for the region as well as Industry & Product partners and are expected to make an immediate contribution. Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a key resource working closely with GCB and Wealth Management RMs, industry and product partners to proactively generate ideas and solutions to meet client needs

  • Key support resource to senior bankers in day-to-day client coverage

  • Function as the key point of contact for the group, responsible for coordinating information flow and execution of work product with product groups, internal and external legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory parties

  • Lead due diligence sessions

  • Supervise the preparation and execution of final client presentation work product

  • Communicate and interact with deal team members and clients

  • Be a team player and culture carrier

  • Supervise and train junior personnel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

  • Prior experience covering high growth companies, preferred

  • 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking at a top-tier firm

  • Have comparable combination of education and related experience

  • Full breadth of financing (equity, equity linked and debt) and strategic advisory experience

  • Professional maturity and experience to interact directly with client and drive origination and execution

  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills

  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking and distinguished communication skills

  • Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team

  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus
