Lead Engineer - eComm

Job Description:

Individuals will be the lead engineers for a large-scale ecommerce installation who will be responsible for an end-to-end understanding of the architecture & design of the Consumer Online and Mobile Banking platform. The candidate will also be focusing on developing the next generation applications' architecture and data center strategy. The position will also guide the response to critical issues, including root cause analysis as well as mitigate future risks to the environment. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Works under minimal supervision.. Typically 7-10 years of systems experience.

Other responsibilities include:

• Perform design reviews and enforce architecture standards.
• Recommend improvements to the architecture/design to improve the performance and resiliency of the environment
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and perform cost-benefit analysis for recommended/selected products
• Load and performance tests planning and analysis

Required Skills

• Large scale multi tier eCommerce applications design for performance and resiliency
• Distributed cache deployment and configuration
• Deep knowledge of Web technologies such as webservers and app servers
• Strong experience with TCP/IP networks technologies
• Good understanding of Java
• Service Oriented Architecture and a good understanding of the SOAP protocol and the different SOA stacks
• Experience tuning SQL queries with complex business logic. Solid knowledge of joins, views, triggers, stored procedures, data normalization and replication
• Experience with modern monitoring methods and tools
