We are currently looking for a motivated Apprentice to join our Corporate Audit team in Chester in a full-time role whilst studying the Level 4 Internal Audit Practitioner standard. 

Corporate Audit is responsible for providing an independent assessment of whether controlling processes within Bank of America are adequately designed and functioning effectively to mitigate potential risks. Teammates cover all areas of the Bank, performing validation of the company’s risk management activities through testing of key processes and controls across the company.

Our Internal Audit Apprenticeship program is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of work to support your apprenticeship studies. 

 

As an Internal Audit Apprentice, your key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing core skills focused on audit practices, methodology and business expertise
  • Contributing to the work of the audit team in delivering their planned audit coverage, including performing validation of the company’s risk management activities through testing of key processes and controls across the company
  • Writing risk-focused conclusions for your audit work to explain the results of the audit process to senior management
  • Developing your understanding of the bank’s Global Banking and Markets businesses, the control functions that support them and the bank’s risk and control framework

Qualifications

  • At least 1 years’ worth of work experience
  • Achieved a 5 in English & mathematics GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • Been a resident of the UK for the past 3 years
  • Not in full-time education when starting the apprenticeship
  • Have the right to work and remain in the UK indefinitely
  • Have not completed a qualification or apprenticeship at the same level or higher which provided you with substantially the same skills or training as you would gain through this apprenticeship with Bank of America
