Job Description:
This job is responsible for partnering with teams to deliver trusted, timely, and secure data and information products and services that align with the data technology strategy. Key responsibilities include assisting with an inventory of applications in the data flow for bank data domains and supporting their adherence to enterprise and global data and records management standards. Job expectations include implementing transport controls, extracting data sets to perform analysis, remediating data incidents, and promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices.

Responsibilities:

The team is primarily responsible for developing and executing data quality testing related to financial and non-financial regulatory reports. This role requires deep technical expertise supported by strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills. This roles core focus will be developing data tests for regulatory reports and other critical uses of data across the Enterprise. This role will be responsible for design, development, and execution of data quality testing across various data uses. This will also require collaborating with key stakeholders (business / technology) to support timely completion of testing activities while ensuring adherence to established testing framework(s) / coding standards. Candidate needs to be able to successfully operate across multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner. Be able to operate & manage work in a high-stress environment. Proactively identify process and procedural enhancements with respect to testing and testing tools. Be able to engage with peers, managers, and executives.

  • Partners with various teams across technology and supports the planning and execution of data analysis and reporting
  • Prepares and analyzes data to provide stakeholders with business insights to help solve problems
  • Establishes tools and reports to support proper testing activities for data flows and maintenance procedures for large scale databases
  • Liaises between the business and technology teams to ensure systems and applications support business needs and specifications
  • Mentors employees on capabilities needed to obtain and analyze large and complex data sets and teaches domain expertise to understand the business purpose of the data
  • Ensures Data Governance and Data Management practices are followed in the creation, consumption, and delivery of data

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Data Testing/Quality, Application Management and/or Data Management
  • Strong data quality knowledge (Accuracy, completeness, timeliness dimensions, data risk mitigation, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of database concepts like (views, primary keys, table joins)
  • Strong oral & written communication and comfortable presenting to a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong knowledge of financial and / or non-financial regulatory reports
