Job Description:
Responsible for capturing and refining business and/or system requirements (based on specialization). Works with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. Possess a working knowledge of the business and/or technical domain based on their specialization. Leverages experience and understanding of stakeholder needs to help create a solution, envisions the solution to solve a problem (manual or through software). Performs Cost/Benefit Analysis to align the technology to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests. Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application. Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions. Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications. Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts; Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes. Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users. Individual contributor.

LOB Position Summary:

  • Supports multiple systems and applications through detailed analysis, technical expertise and problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of payments APIs as part of numerous projects and initiatives. Provides subject matter expertise in determining the data sourcing, usage and consumption , both real time and batch oriented, for various projects and initiatives.
  • Responsible for independently conducting data driven analytics. Leads efforts in development of new interfaces and data flows. Creates documentation for all flows and may work with technology staff in design of any system or interface to run APIs developed. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and are able to influence strategic direction, as well as develop tactical plans.
  • Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and quality to improve accuracy, viability and value. Challenges data and information integrity. Works as a business partner that provides decision support to various LOB unit leaders. Conducts special studies to analyze complex user interactions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of a payments architecture that enables fact-based decision making and ad hoc analysis and insight generation.
  • Supports on going activities and triaging of issues observed in production.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of applicable experience
  • Strong API design and test experience
  • Strong Visio Skills
  • Candidate must have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Payment specific experience.
  • Must be comfortable conducting process reengineering "Solve" sessions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to independently conduct sessions and present to senior leadership, influence decision making and help implement strategic vision.

Illinois pay and benefits information

Illinois pay range:

$89,000.00 - $151,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
