Position Summary:

The candidate must be highly motivated with a track record of success in a global financial environment, and strong experience in application development and quality assurance testing. Exceptional analysis and troubleshooting skills focusing on environment availability, production stability, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Preference will be given to those with Python experience.

Essential Skill Requirements:

  • Experience using Python
  • Experience in Quality Assurance testing and batch processing
  • Working in a global team environment and managing the workload for the global team
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, excellent problem solving, and analytical skills in a high-pressure environment
  • Solid knowledge of contemporary development processes, build environments, and testing tools
  • Proven record with driving continuous improvements in processes and tooling
  • Experience in 3rd line production support
  • Knowledge or experience of agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM, Kanban) and continuous integration
  • Comfortable in communicating with technology and business users

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with front office trading platform development teams, especially with global teams
  • Experience with Python data analysis packages and performance tuning
  • Exceptional development knowledge in Python on Linux/UNIX, with a strong understanding of Messaging Middleware concepts, usage, and application

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a financial industry environment
  • Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant analytical experience

Illinois pay and benefits information

Illinois pay range:

$88,800.00 - $145,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
