Job Description:
This job is responsible for configuring complex software delivery automation. Key responsibilities include ensuring software deployments are configured to meet access, ownership, and authentication standards. This job may modify code for software deployment automation and ensures software promotion pipelines for complex/high availability applications follow Continuous Delivery best practices. Job expectations include the ability to integrate development, testing practices, software delivery tools, and runtime application standards at the bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Configures and maintains the set of tools and services that provide Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services and validates access control mechanisms for the Software and Infrastructure Engineering team throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Reviews the configuration of applications servers to confirm that CI/CD service platform onboarding pre-requisites are available and configured properly

  • Monitors and responds to alerts based on the key performance indicators (KPI) for the services supporting CI/CD and escalated events and issues from DevOps Engineers, creating issues and action-plan summaries for stakeholders

  • Mentors and clarifies issues and practices for DevOps Engineers

  • Works with Infrastructure, Solutions Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to understand changes in CI/CD service platform components and behaviors and planned changes in monitoring and alerting capabilities

  • Responds to risk or audit identified issues with access control processed designed for compliance with firm separation of duties practices, and software release management standards and policies

  • Executes change tickets for CI/CD service onboarding and decommissioning using approved change management processes as scheduled by Software or Infrastructure Engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on experience (5-7 years)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with senior leaders, internal and external partners

  • Team player that works effectively cross-team and cross-organizational with support, project, development, engineering and infrastructure teams

  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, proactive, team oriented and engages well with the broader team

  • Accountable, responsible, lead qualities, ready to deeply learn our domain to prepare for an associate position

  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced and often challenging work environment

  • Strong windows and Linux environment support.

  • 3+ years working in a Application development role using Java and Maven

  • 3+ years of strong experience with Middleware including IIS, WebSphere, JBOSS and Apache

  • 3+ years working in a DevOps/Environment Support role or comparable team 

  • Deep experience with CI/CD and environment support in a large corporate environment

  • Strong experience with Configuration Management tools Jenkins and Ansible Playbooks with YAML

  • Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines for .Net and Java applications

  • Highly proficient with Bitbucket SCM tools.

  • Java development / micro-services experience

  • Artifactory JFrog experience

  • Automation + Windows PowerShell + Linux shell scripting experience

  • Working knowledge of using Agile methodology in a fast paced environment and supporting program increments leading to delivery of features/stories.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams

  • Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Sonar, and JIRA.

  • Working knowledge with KAFKA, MQ, Cassandra(No SQL)

  • Experience in Redis and Cochroach DB.

  • Coordinating with external vendors and assisting in resolving technical complexities.

  • Facilitates team planning ceremonies against backlog/prioritized work;

  • Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate; Knows when to escalate risks.
