Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading a team to develop best practices and set operational standards. Key responsibilities include leading the plan, design, and implementation of complex solutions, applying knowledge of technology, and communicating technology solutions across audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, senior executives, and/or vendors. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and career development to members of the team, directing team activities, and adhering to defined practices and policies to obtain results.

This job is responsible for the co-leadership of a Platform Services team within MAPS ETCS. The role focusses on 3 key areas:

  • Change & Release Management, Observability and Engineering Solutions. The role will primarily focus on providing functional leadership of the AMRS Platform Services team. The role will provide guidance to MAPS and CIO teams to get Change and Release operating in a uniform manner across all the ETCS lines of business, tracking adherence to policies, procedures, and standards. Job expectations include looking for opportunities to improve efficiency when implementing and maintaining tools/services and embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving Release management scheduling conflicts across multiple LOBs competing for the same resources
  • Drive an improvement in the adherence standards and policies surrounding Technology Changes
  • Drive innovations that help to converge the practice of multiple unrelated LOBs towards a common Change and Release practice
  • Ensures open communication across the global team, ensuring the best utilization of our resources for release work
  • Helps drive observability improvements and the adoption of the APS&E Observability goals across the applications managed by MAPS ETCS Teams
  • Helps APS&E teams adopt new tooling being shared by the Engineering Solutions team
  • Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
  • Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
  • Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 + years strong experience managing both business and technology stakeholders
  • 10 + years strong technical expertise in understanding processes and using technology to solve inefficiencies
  • 10+ years people managements (functional leadership – not necessarily line managed)
  • 5+ years project management experience in Financial Services Technology/FinTech

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Technology Change and Release principles, and the management of risk surrounding these
  • Good working knowledge of level understanding of Jira and agile work management
  • Able to operate as a Product Owner and can negotiate with developers and technology stakeholders to get beneficial outcomes
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • Very organized and unflustered under pressure

New Jersey pay range:

$117,100.00 - $181,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
