In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview:

Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. It is comprised of Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wholesale Credit. Aligned with these client-facing groups are Global Capital Markets and Global Research.  The Shared Technology Platforms is a portfolio under the GBAMT Strategy, Architecture and Core Platforms portfolio.  The portfolio is responsible for designing, building and maintaining high performing software systems that are used by the Global Banking and Markets Technology employees globally.  These are Technology for Technology tools that cater to varying project management needs including but not limited to forecasting, hiring, resource lifecycle management etc

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support the forecasting, tracking, and reporting of direct expenses. This role is critical to maintaining financial discipline and providing accurate, actionable insights by comparing actual accounting data to forecasted figures. The ideal candidate will work closely direct expense team members, business support manager, finance, and the technology contract owners to ensure timely and accurate reporting, variance analysis, and continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy.  Candidate should be a quick and eager learner.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily forecasting needs by reviewing, validating, and making direct expense working forecast changes from the contract owners.
  • Support the daily direct expense forecasting needs by running processes to consolidate direct expense data and uploading data into the downstream financial accounting systems for direct expenses.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes for direct expenses.
  • Track and reconcile actual direct expenses against forecasts and budgets using data from the accounting system (e.g., General Ledger – Posted Transaction File).
  • Investigate and explain significant variances between actual and forecasted expenses.
  • Partner with direct expense and finance to understand cost drivers and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Maintain and improve financial processes, templates, and SharePoint sites/dashboards used in expense tracking and forecasting.
  • Assist in month-end close activities, including accrual reviews and forecast updates.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Document and improve forecasting processes and controls for accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or MBA a plus

Certifications (if any): MS Office

Experience Range: 06-08+ years

Foundational Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, or expense management.
  • Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with financial systems and Sourcing and Procurement systems (GEP Smart).
  • MS Access, MS SharePoint, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Advance MS Excel skills.
  • Experience in process improvement or financial automation a plus.

Work Timings: 10:30am to 7:30pm IST
