Join our bustling Bromley office, situated in one of London’s greenest boroughs. Here you’ll find plentiful and easy commuting routes, with central London just 15 minutes away by train.
Role Description:
We are looking for a hands on Senior Technology Platform Lead to define, govern, and evolve the architectural vision and technical strategy across multiple applications within a complex Front Office Technology ecosystem. Ensuring platform consistency, scalability, and reusability while aligning solutions with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of defining and maintaining platform architecture, ensuring alignments across applications.
• Provide technical leadership through guiding engineering teams on architectural best practises, design patterns, and platform usage.
• Ensure seamless cross-application integration and interoperability.
• Establish platform governance standards for performance, scalability, and maintainability across all components.
• Proactively identify architectural risks and technical debt and define mitigation strategies.
• Ensure consistency of Technology standards, policies, procedures across teams and regions.
What we are looking for:
• High level development skills in any OO or Functional language including but not limited to Python (preferred), C#, Java, or C++.
• First-hand experience in technical leadership, including guiding architectural decisions.
• Knowledge or experience of agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM, Kanban) and continuing integration.
• Experience with large scale, globally distributed financial systems with an emphasis on high availability.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills in a high-pressure environment.
• Must possess a solid degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant analytical degree.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures and design patterns including why and where to use them.
