 Process Overview

In Equity Linked Technology, we implement innovative software solutions to provide our clients with a seamless trading experience.  Our engineers solve some of the most complex technical problems in the world of Equity Derivatives, ranging from fast-paced, high-volume vanilla options to complex structured notes and quantitative algorithmic indices. This in turn translates to challenges that involve providing low-latency pricing solutions and at the same time the solution should be simple enough to scale across a wide range of products and clients. This is an extremely exciting time as the group is supporting significant business growth, while undergoing transformation into an Agile micro service-oriented infrastructure.  It is an interactive and dynamic working environment, with the opportunity to interface directly with Front-Office users and enabling you to directly observe the impact of your deliveries. We are also in early stages of building out our platform so any candidate coming in will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and impact shape of our technology stack.

Job Description

Candidates will be proficient in software testing focused around a cross-language REST based n-tier architecture executed using agile methodologies (Scrum, Test Driven Development, unit/integration testing, pair programming, etc. The successful candidate will be comfortable driving functional or manual testing, rationalizing business requirements. There will be significant interaction with other stakeholders developers , BAs etc.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test case and troubleshoot test related issues to determine failure point.
• Able to independently analyse logs, database results to check where the issue resides and report issues that are clear, concise and in a timely manner to development teams.
• Identify project risks and make recommendations to minimize risk.
• Escalate project issues to appropriate leadership.
• Accurately estimate task duration and meet schedules.
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Willing and capable of quick learning in a changing environment
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Good experience in writing SQL queries
• Conduct cucumber file code reviews of automated test scripts to ensure adherence to functional scenarios.
• Attention to detail and good time management and organizational skills.
• The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a multi-disciplined team, across multiple locations and time zones, and to interact with various technology partners.

 Requirements

Education: B.E. / B. Tech. / M.S. / M. Tech.

Certifications if any: NA

Experience range- 7-12 years

 Foundational skills

o   Testing - Manual and Functional

Hands-on experience on different testing methodologies,

o    Self-sufficient and can understand and escalate the blocking issues. 

o    Able to query database and understand data from the test cases perspective

o    Knowledge of API testing

o    Self-starter with a sense of responsibility - taking initiative and ownership for quality and speed

o    Sound interpersonal skills, good communication/articulation, attention to detail

Desired skills

o    Understanding of capital markets and equities / derivatives trading

o    Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Data-Driven, BDD, hybrid framework or similar

Work Timings: 11:00am-8:00pm
