Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
LOB Specific Summary:
Plexus is a Quartz based Collateral that provides straight-through processing of securities pledging data from margin to settlements systems across multiple LOBs & entities to cover the firm’s margin calls. Application also validates collateral eligibility & availability for MLI, BAMLS and BofA Se SA and enables pledge and recall bookings with CCPs/Exchanges. Plexus also serves as the primary application that interfaces with various Custodians satisfying UMR guidelines and mandates in addition to facilitating data publication for SFTR regulatory reporting.
GMI Next Gen initiative looks to move from our existing GMI technology systems to an up to date industry standard version. Technology provides an application suite that supports the Risk Optimization FICC trading desk, Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR) functions, and provides intraday/end-of-day Risk, PL calculations, as well as portfolio management tools for VaR estimation, trade blotters, hedge construction and trade compression validation and execution.
GMI Next Gen Technology are seeking a senior software engineering professional to work in the Global Markets Technology division of Bank of America. The successful candidate will work closely with our technical, operations and business partners to define requirements, design, develop, implement, and support key business applications. The role requires the developer to collaborate and work with teams across several regions therefore must possess strong communication skills and be adaptable.
Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications
Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc) Understanding of API design and documentation. MS SQL Server TSQL, SSIS SSRS, Git/Bitbucket, Autosys or similar job schedular, .NET framework 4.5+ / .Net CORE (C#), Python, REST Web API, Augular, Javascript, ASP.Net MVC.
Desired Qualifications
An aptitude for problem analysis and resolution and eye for details. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A good ‘team player’ but also have the ability to work independently. Have a keen sense of innovation, with valuable suggestions of new ideas, ways of working and technologies.
