Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting Credit Officers on a daily basis in the underwriting, monitoring, and management of their portfolios. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end processes involving credit underwriting, ongoing monitoring, and portfolio management of financing, treasury management, and traded products transactions. Job expectations include acting as a primary liaison with the credit teams, operations, and other business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates pre- and post-closing activities which may include due diligence activities, creation of approval documents, and interaction with operations
- Monitors requirements by creating and clearing monitoring ticklers and sourcing required financial statements and other documents per the terms of the credit agreement or other documentation
- Identifies and resolves data quality issues
- Identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Understands policy and procedures and ensures compliance
- Support and assist Credit Officers daily in the management of their portfolios, including the review of global credit facilities.
- Creation of credit approval documents for new, renewed and amended loan, trading and GTS facilities, and their processing through the bank systems of record.
- Review approved credit approval documents to ensure compliance with bank policy and procedures.
- Identify and resolve facility data discrepancies.
- Respond to inquiries from credit officers and other business partners. Investigate and resolve incoming queries relating to the portfolio.
- Monitor and resolve facility document exceptions.
- Create, maintain, and monitor credit and financial events and manage exceptions.
- Maintain accurate document records.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years' of Institutional banking experience and knowledge of lending products
- PC literate and systems oriented with proficiency in all Microsoft applications
- Strong organization and communication skills
