Job Description:
The Chief Investment Office centrally manages model portfolios with approximately $340 billion in assets under management (AUM), spanning fixed income, equities, and multi-asset strategies for Financial Advisors and Private Bank Portfolio Managers. These model portfolios are designed to optimize the investment process by aligning with our investment outlook across strategic and tactical asset allocation, sector and security selection, and thematic investing.
The selected candidate will play a key role in scaling and improving workflows to accommodate future growth and expanding portfolios in the Chief Investment Office. Core responsibilities include delivering high-touch service and high-quality deliverables to portfolio managers and internal business partners, streamlining interactions among diverse systems, and developing innovative analyses, models, and tools that provide accessible insights to senior leaders and portfolio managers for timely decision-making.
• Support daily oversight of CIO-managed model portfolios, ensuring portfolios remain aligned with stated investment objectives and firm guidelines
• Develop and maintain tools, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to monitor portfolio exposures, performance, and risk metrics
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and internal business partners to deliver high-quality insights and reports that support timely decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement process enhancements across portfolio oversight workflows
• Perform data analysis and develop code in R, Python, SQL, or Excel to support both Shiny applications and management reporting, leveraging modern development practices such as version control, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and efficient deployment
• Leverage FactSet to manage model portfolios, analyze performance and risk with PA and SPAR, and build data pipelines via Portfolio Batcher and APIs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, system integrations, or portfolio analytics
• Assist in preparing materials for senior leadership, articulating complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Contribute to risk management efforts by proactively identifying, escalating, and mitigating potential issues
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives supporting the evolving needs of the Chief Investment Office
Required Qualifications:
• Degree from a competitive university in a quantitative field. Series 7 & 66 or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Proven ability to think on your feet, adapt quickly to change, and take initiative
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning and acquiring new knowledge
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate thoughts and complex ideas clearly, concisely, and simply
• Collaborative team player who embraces challenges and takes responsibility seriously
• Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in coding with R, Python, or SQL; strong Excel data skills (such as Power Query) or Excel VBA experience are also valued
