Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include monitoring and testing controls and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by evaluating data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.
The Global Payments Solutions (GPS) Business Controls team is a central control function that provides guidance and support for each of the GPS Line of Businesses (LOB) to help ensure adherence to various enterprise policy and standard requirements.
This job is responsible for supporting the oversight of the horizontal issue management program across Global Payment Solutions Line of Business (LOB) and is dedicated to executing strategy to drive internal control discipline and operational excellence within a LOB or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day execution of the Issue Management Standards, including the implementation of LOB and ECF specific procedures and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include providing guidance to the LOB on issue management with effective monitoring on adherence to the Enterprise Issues Standard. The role includes establishing and maintaining an issue workflow, training and quality assurance.
• Engage with FLU stakeholders to identify issues and control improvement for remediation and ensure tracking of issue statuses through resolution.
• Provide recommendations to management on improvements to maximize efficient identification, assessment, and remediation of risk.
• Support other program managers to identify issues and risks across different business units as part of the lessons learned process.
• Oversee the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support adherence to enterprise-wide standards.
• Provide effective challenge to issue owners regarding issue identification, remediation planning, execution, and evidence packaging to ensure they are robust and address issue in question.

• Minimum of 5 years of Business Controls experience
• Minimum of 2 years of Issues Management experience
• Experience in supporting Issues Management Program for Front Line Unit (FLU).
• Ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organization and influence others to achieve goals.
• Ability to challenge in a firm, but non-confrontational manner.
• Ability to multi-task across multiple open audit issues that are at various stages of completion.
• Ability to execute with accuracy, precision, and attention to detail.
• Able to deliver quality work timely and independently.
• Proactive approach - ability to connect the dots, look across, and enjoys problem-solving.
• Experience and competency with CIMA
• Competency with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
Desired skills:
- Familiarity with Single Process Inventory (SPI) environment, including Process Owner Portal (POP) and ORCIT – Key Measures
- Familiarity in the risk management policies and standards, in particular the Enterprise Process Management Policy and Standard and GCOR ORCIT Metric Policy
- Strong risk mindset with process and controls background; actively debate and escalate issues and concerns
- Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
