Job Description

Senior Quant Analyst to spearhead the ETF business effort from a quant point of view.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand the commercial realities of the business, to be able to recognize and identify problems and commercial opportunities.
  • Formulate appropriate solution in tight collaboration with the trading desk and the rest of the team.
  • Drive the implementation of said solutions, by collaborating just as tightly with colleagues on the tech and platform side.
  • Take responsibility to ensure the governance process of the models and technology produced by the team is in line with policies and standards.
  • The role will also require the candidate to oversee the work of more junior team members, as well as to contribute to this implementation directly, by means of delivering enterprise quality code, as well as financial modelling.
  • We are looking for candidates who can stretch their skills from the technical ( maths/stats, programming), to the commercial, and who are able to show both keen interest in the business and technical skills.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Domain specific knowledge in equity ETFs space
  • Strong programming and technical skills.  Experience in delivering enterprise quality code is required, with experience in Python and KDB Q preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and accessible manner.
  • Keen interest in finance and the trading business.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.  Ability to work with different people and groups.
  • Ability to network and navigate the complex institutional realities which are an integral part of working in a large bank.

Minimum Education Requirement: STEM MSc/PhD level or equivalent sophistication acquired through work experience is preferred

New York pay range:

$225,000.00 - $300,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
