Enterprise Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation, and building out actions plans and milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards
  • Performs monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation
  • Manages the end-to-end process, risks, controls, and control metrics for deposit acceptance, authority limits and loss management
  • Development, implementation, monitoring and reporting process for controls and performance metrics
  • Performs root cause analysis of non-performing metrics
  • Collaborates with process owners on reaction plans when metrics are performing out of specification
  • Assists with remediation efforts for audit issues, MRAs and control enhancements; ensures timely delivery of key milestones/action plans and closure of issues and projects
  • Engaging with support for new initiatives, including designing process and control impacts and development of implementation plans
  • Maintain and continue to enhance the process, risk, control, metric inventory - Single Process Inventory (SPI)
  • Develop strong partnership and influence decisions with senior leaders across the Financial Center Channel, Process Design Team, Legal/Risk/Compliance, Audit, and other partners
  • Develop and deliver presentations for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues for all levels of the organization
  • Leads the implementation of optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts
  • Manages the performance and productivity of team members that conduct quality inspection reviews
  • Ensures timely execution of QA activities including control execution, case management, and results reporting
  • Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews
  • Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting

Skills:

  • Background in Business Controls, Risk Management, Process Design, Compliance and/or Audit within a business operations function (non-Tech & Ops)
  • Analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to develop strategies and appropriate business controls to remediate risk
  • Experience partnering to define/deliver breakthrough processes and coaching
  • Ability to create business reporting and compelling written presentations that articulate business strategy and objectives
  • Very strong communications skills and ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Proven record of communicating, interacting and influencing peers, partners, Legal, Risk/Compliance, and senior leaders

Required Qualifications:

  • +3 years in Business Controls, Risk Management, Process Design, Compliance and/or Audit within a business operations function (non-Tech & Ops)
  • Ability to influence at all levels
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Deposit Acceptance, loss management and Authority Limits
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in process or control owner for process aligned to the Single Process Inventory (SPI)
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations impacting deposit policy and procedures
  • Experience in managing large portfolios of work
  • Able to build executive and business reporting

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
